Converting oven temperatures
American recipes use Fahrenheit, while most of the world uses Celsius. To convert, subtract 32 and multiply by 5/9. Oven dials in Celsius are usually marked in steps of 10 or 20 degrees, so round to the nearest setting: 350°F becomes 177°C, which most bakers set as 180°C.
If you have a fan (convection) oven, many recipes suggest lowering the temperature by about 20°C or 25°F.
°C = (°F − 32) × 5 ÷ 9
°F = °C × 9 ÷ 5 + 32
°F = °C × 9 ÷ 5 + 32
